PRISCILA MOURA
COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY
BA (Hons) Dip Couns MBACP
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website.
I’m a trauma-informed integrative counsellor and energy psychotherapist, offering online therapy for adults (18+) in both English and Portuguese. Whether you’re seeking brief or open-ended support, I’m here to help you explore and navigate life's challenges in a safe, compassionate space.

“Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It's too high.
Come to the edge!
And they came
And he pushed
And they flew.”
― Christopher Logue

A BIT ABOUT THERAPY
Life can feel overwhelming, particularly now, with the world facing unprecedented challenges. Perhaps you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or the lingering effects of a major life event—whether it’s a bereavement, a separation, an illness, or a job loss. Maybe you find it hard to connect with your feelings, or perhaps a painful history holds you back from moving forward.
In therapy, being truly listened to can be a profoundly healing experience. I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where we can explore whatever weighs on you. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences and find a way to navigate through them to help you live a richer and more meaningful life.
If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m here to support you with compassion and understanding.

HOW I WORK
Therapy, to me, is a partnership—a journey we take together as equals. Our sessions will be a space to explore your world with openness and respect, valuing your unique experiences and perspective. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, one that considers mind, body, emotions, and spirit, along with the impact of your social context.
Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and energy psychotherapy, our work will go beyond talking alone. Together, we may connect your present challenges to earlier life experiences, or perhaps use body-centered techniques to help you self-regulate and clear trauma. This integrative approach allows us to deepen self-understanding, foster resilience, and open up new ways of being.
I invite you to explore this healing path with me and see where it can lead you.

ABOUT ME
From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by people and the complexities of the human experience. At 16, the world made no sense to me , which led me to study Psychology. However, life took me on a different path, and I pursued a degree in Modern Languages, eventually working as a translator and interpreter. But life has a way of guiding us back to where we belong, and in time, I felt called to return to my original field of study.
I trained at Regent’s University and the Minster Centre, two respected UK institutions in psychotherapy, and I’ve gained extensive experience working in a variety of settings. I’ve supported individuals through a bereavement service, worked at five different universities, collaborated with a renowned mental health organisation, and been part of a multi-ethnic counselling service, as well as maintaining my private practice.
I remain deeply curious about existence and in awe of the depth and richness of the work of psychotherapy.

"I ask you right here please to agree with me that a scar is never ugly... We must see all scars as beauty. Okay? This will be our secret. Because take it from me, a scar does not form on the dying. A scar means, I survived."
Chris Cleeve, The Other Hand
